Taxi owner, Vusi Reginald Mathibela (36), known as Vusi Khekhe, Sipho Patrick Hudla (40), Matamela Robert Mutapa (46) and Bonginkosi Paul Khumalo (42), were convicted by the Pretoria High Court for killing a businessman Wandile Bozwana. The four men were found guilty of an premediated murder, attempted murder, possession of firearm and ammunition.
The NPA Regional spokesperson Lumka Mahanjana says Mathibela instructed Hudla, Mutapa, and Khumala on the 2nd of October 2015 to follow the deceased who was at Sandton, Mandela Square in Johannesburg with his business associate Betty Mpho Baloyi, handed himself in on the January 2016 and was granted R50 000 bail in December 2016.
Adv. Jennifer Cronje told the court that, she presented evidence to prove the guilt of the four men beyond reasonable doubt and that all four men had a common purpose in killing the deceased, but the accused still pleaded not guity.
The case was then postponed to 04th of August 2022, for sentencing proceedings.
