MEC LERULE-RAMAKHANYA HANDED OVER DIGNITY PACKS TO TSHIAWELO SECONDLY SCHOOL.

The MEC for Transport and Community Safety in Limpopo Mavhungu  Lerule-Ramakhanya expressed her parental gesture to Tshiawelo secondary school needy learners by handing out dignity packs in Vleifontein, under Makhado Municipality in the Vhembe District. The dignity packs ranged from sanitary pads to pairs of school shoes.

The aim for initiative by the DTCS in partnership with RTIA and RTMC, is to boost self-esteem and self-worth among learners to prioritize learning . It is the second school to benefit from the initiative after Tsundzukani primary school under Collins Chabane, where over one hundred and twenty packs were handed out early this year. This was supported by Makhado Municipality, Department of Education, SGB and Religious forums.

Ramakhanya has urged the School principal, teachers and the Governing Body to cooperate with the department on an endeavour to eliminate substance abuse and bullying at school. She also urged the learners to invest more time to shaping their futute and study towards heights greater than hers.
