The Young Nurses Indaba Trade Union (YNITU) from its inception witnessed with great admiration NUMSA being at the forefront of ensuring strong militant, radical and no worker formations are supported to serve as true independent vanguards of downtrodden workers.
YNITU General Secretary Lerato Mthunzi says in 2017 NUMSA amongst 30+ other independent Trade Union made history when forming the second largest Federation in the country, as the biggest union in the country NUMSA demonstrated its unwavering commitment to defend workers by pouring from all it’s resources and reverses to uphold autonomy of workers struggles.
She says YNITU is exasperated by these deliberate attempts to derail and distract NUMSA in continuing its sterling work of saving jobs, fighting better conditions for workers and ensuring workers get fair salary deals and benefits. They loath that the same mechanism unleashed to sabotage and abort SRWP in its infancy are again used to divide and conquer NUMSA.
Organisation’s president Rich Sicina says they have watched with great concern other unions being infiltrated and destroyed but they have no doubt that NUMSA will demonstrate decisive leadership and do all in its powers to defend democratic centralism organizational discipline worker control and its 11th National Congress.
YNITU calls on all workers from all sectors to defend NUMSA, the NUMSA that fights hard for workers will be protected by workers.
