Joshua at the age of 34 will be up against Daniel ‘DDD’ Dubois on Saturday, at Wembley for the IBF heavyweight title.
Joshua was the champions of WBC International, Commonwealth, British, IBF, WBA (Super), WBO, and IBO belts.
It took him long time to compete for the title champion match and the last time he was was competing was back in 2021 against Oleksandr Usyk and he lost the match.
If Joshua managed to defeat Daniel ‘DDD’ Dubois for IBF title, he will face the winner between Usyk or Tyson Fury for a total ring domination, unifying all four prestigious titles.
During his interview with Good Morning Britain, Joshua highlighted why he is still staying with his mother.
He said “I still live with my mum. I realised that when I started training – which I do away from home a lot – that if I’m away for 10 months of the year and then when I get back I’ve got to do commercial work I realise that if I was to move out I’d never actually see my mum.
“I’m away in various parts of the world for a lot of the time, but my actual base is at home with mum. So I can still wake up and see her and spend time with her when I can.”
His talks left one of the GMB co-host Susanna Reid impressed and admired by the statement made by Joshua.
She said “That is so lovely. That is just like the tender heart of someone who is about to go into a ring and try and knock someone out.”
Joshua went on to explain why his mother doesn’t not watch most of his fight on the ring side/Arena.
He said “Sometimes she doesn’t show up, she stays behind and she prays a lot. She says she can’t really watch her son because she doesn’t enjoy it. It’s tough for her, of course, but she enjoys the fruits of her labour. I take care of my mum a lot, I love her dearly.”
Joshua made the fortune of living during his previous fight he had. Joshua is the favorite ahead of the weekend fight.
Forbes estimates that AJ’s bank balance boasts a jaw-dropping $83 million (£63.5m), with some of his fights grossing colossal sums. His 2022 rematch against Oleksandr Usyk alone bagged him a whopping $75 million (£57.4m), while his victory over Andy Ruiz Jr in 2019 saw him cash in a cool $72 million (£55.1m).
