Cameroon striker sets target for himself ahead of 2024/25 season

Cameroonian goal poacher Bryan Mbeumo says he is ‘putting demands’ on his own playing style ahead of the 2024-25 Premier League season. Mbeumo scored for Brentford FC in their 4-4 draw against VfL Wolfsburg on Friday and it was the Bees last preseason friendly before they take on Crystal Palace on Sunday 18 August as their first home game.

He has netted nine goals in each of the last two Premier League seasons and was happy to be on the score sheet against Wolfsburg and says he is looking to improve his performance in the new season.

“We scored four goals and created very good chances. We need to focus on the defensive side, especially the set-pieces, before next week.” Mbeumo said

When asked about the third goal during pre season he said “It’s really important to get the confidence going and for a forward it’s always nice to score. I felt good [on Friday]. I have big aims; I’m putting demands on myself.”

Mbeumo at the age of 25 has Registered 16 caps under his belt and he is still aiming to get more chance to represent FECAFOOTA.
