Chile star reveals that he regret joining the Red Devil (Man United)
2 min readAlex Sanchez joined Manchester United back in 2018 with a club breaking record but his stint with the Red Devil was not the successful one.
Alexis Sanchez revealed that he was wishing to tear apart his contract with Man United just after one training session.
Before his move away from Arsenal the Chile International striker was on fine form as he managed to score 80 goals in 166 matches.
Sanchez was also being monitored by Manchester City in 2017/2018 camping but the move was not materialized.
The former Arsenal striker posted on his Instagram page where he revealed that he had agreement with Man City.
He said “Before, I had an agreement with Man City, but due to football issues, I accepted the opportunity to go to United.
“It felt tempting and it was something good for me. I liked this club a lot when I was a kid. Eventually, I signed but I didn’t ask for information on what was happening inside the club.
“Sometimes there are things that you don’t realise until you get there and I remember the first training session I had, I realised a lot of things.
Sanchez went on to emphasize that he spoke to his family and his agent to ask if is it possible to tear contract and go back(Arsenal).
He said “After the session I got home and I told my family and my agent: ‘Can you not rip up the contract to go back to Arsenal?”
“They laughed, I told them there’s something that doesn’t sit right, it doesn’t seem good. But I already signed, I was already there. After the first few months I carried on having the same feeling, we weren’t united as a team in that moment.”
Alex Sanchez went on to score a total number of five(5) goals across the 45 appearance for the Manchester United that ended terminating his contract.
After then he joined AC Millan in Italy where he managed to rediscover his scoring former. Sanchez scored a tally of 20 goals out of 109 matches before joining Marseille in summer 2022 transfer window.
