Egyptian Football Association(EFA) announced two Experienced players for Olympics 2024

Egypt Football Association announced the inclusion of former Arsenal midfielder Mohammed Elneny and Zamalek winger Ahmed ‘Zizo’ for u-23 team which is preparing for Olympic Games in France[Paris] 2024.

Egypt coach Rogerio Micale has called up Elneny and Zizo as senior players to lead the young pharaohs squad for the tournament that is scheduled to take place from 26 July to 11 August 2024 and games will be played at the following city of Paris Bordeaux, Decines-Charpieu (near Lyon), Marseille, Nantes, Nice and Saint-Etienne.

EFA released on their Facebook page a statement saying they have included two experienced players for Paris Olympics 2024

EFA said ” Elneny and Zizo received a warm wolcome from the u-23 team technical staff, led by Micale along with football fans who gathered at the hotel to show their support they have for the players.”

Even though participating teams are allowed to include Three senior players in their squad, Micale has included two players due to refusals from the player’s clubs. The under 23 team started their preparation camp on Friday, will progress to until Wednesday before departing to France where they will play two friendly matches against Ukraine and Iraq on 14 and 17 July.

On their quest at Paris Olympic 2024 Egypt will face Spain, Dominican Republic and Uzbekistan on the group C.
