Former Bafana Bafana Captain have soft heart for Arsenal coach

Aaron ‘Mbazo’ Mokoena the former Bafana Bafana skipper shared why he favors Arsenal coach Mikel Arteta.

During his team in England where he played for Portsmouth and Blackburn Rovers he played against Arteta back in 2003/04 season.

Mbazo during the conversation with Rob Delport who is the editor of iDiski Times revealed that when Arteta started coaching at Arsenal it was not easy.

He said “I don’t really have a soft spot for the team, but I have a warm and the special spot for Arteta.

“I have a special place in my heart for him since we were rivals when it came to football during my generation. Regretfully, I fractured his leg while I was at Blackburn and he was at Everton.

Since 2020, Arteta kept on improving his style of coach and how his side should operate, as he managed to turns the fortunes.

Mbazo went on to emphasize that despite struggling at the begging, the team is now one the best amongst top teams in England.

He said However, it becomes evident that he is an excellent player of the game. And he took advice from the finest.

“Occupying a seat next to Pep Guardiola and successfully leading Arsenal a hugely powerful squad. Naturally, I believe he is doing well.

“I mean, there he is, competing against Man City.”
