Chelsea legend Frank Lampard hopes the club can now push for the top four this season under Enzo Maresca. The Blues didn’t compete at the Champions League for the past two seasons and will be hoping to go back into the competition.

Chelsea under new head coach Enzo Maresca seems like a team to challenge the honours in England in this year’s edition.

They are currently enjoying the fine form as they are on 4th spot while managed to collect a 13 maximum points from their Six opening fixture of 2024/25 campaign.

Even though it’s still too early to judge the group but the playing style of team is something that one should took it into consideration.

During the interview Lampard highlighted that club can seek for top 4 instead of putting themselves under pressure for competing for maijor trophy.

He said “I do feel now that they’re in a good position to challenge for top four again, to be where Chelsea expect to be.

“After two or three years of being in a transition and a difficult time, change of ownership, change of managers, change of players and the squad, there’s a lot of new faces and players, it’s understandable that they haven’t competed.”

Top four spot will be interesting to watch this season as other clubs such as Aston Villa, Tottenham, Newcastle and Manchester United will be eyeing the same spot.
