Victor Osimhen has been signed by Galatasaray on a season-long loan from Napoli, on a contract that doesn’t have option to buy.

The Nigeria international was confused and depressed at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona after not being signed from Naples before the transfer window closes on Friday.

Attempt from Al Ahli and Chelsea didn’t materialized due to high asking price and he was not used more often at the first team by Partenopei head coach Antonio Conte.

The 25-year-old striker lost his No. 9 jersey to new signing Romelu Lukaku and was left out of Conte’s squad for their Serie A opener against Parma on Saturday.

Galatasaray secured the service of Victor Osimhen after reaching agreement to pay his salary in full for the 2024-25 season.

The Turkish champions announced on Monday night that negotiations had begun with the Italian club and transfer expert Fabrizio Romano confirmed shortly afterwards that the loan switch had been approved.

Journalist expect Fabrizio Romano published on his social media platform page that both teams have reached agreement.

Romano wrote “Victor Osimhen to Galatasaray, here we go! Deal done and all documents have been approved.

“Osimhen’s release clause will be €75m with Napoli option to extend until 2027. Loan move to Gala until June 2025, €9/10m salary covered. No buy option, no obligation.”
