Super Falcon midfielder announces her departure from Juventus

Super Falcon attacking midfielder Jennifer Echegini has shared on social media her time with Italian Serie women side Juventus has reached a dead end.

Echegini’s hard work and passion earned her place at the Super Falcon’s 22 player squad for the 2024 Olympic games, to be held at Paris in France. She has released a huge statement on her future with Juventus ahead of the Super Falcon’s trip to France.

The Dutch-born player arrived at The Old Lady in the January transfer window signing a deal that would have kept her at The Old Lady until 30 June 2026. Echegini has decided to take on a new chapter in her playing career two years before the expiration of her contract with the five-time Italian champions.

It is reported that Echegini has decided to leave The Old Lady because she has not assimilate well into Italian football and their mentality. Despite joining The Old Lady in January Echegini made a significant impact by scoring double-digits goals, joining Roma’s Manuel Giugliano as they scored 16 goals in the previous season of 2023/2024 as the midfielders.

Writing on her Instagram Echegini stated that she is grateful for the opportunity and went on to say she will always remember the good time and memories she created with her team-mate.

Echegini said ” I wanted to take this moment and share my gratitude for the time we have shared. Despite all that may have been said I’m extremely grateful to have been a part of this family. Living and playing in Turin has been an amazing journey filled with a lot of growing and learning for me. I will cherish these memories and carry them on to my next journey. “

Along her message on Instagram, she also took her time to applaud the support she received from the coach and her technical team and lastly the supporters of Juventus for their unwavering love and encouraging her throughout the season.

Echegini said ” Thank you to my team-mates and coaches for making me feel a part of family of the family. Working alongside dedicated and inspiring woman has been the most rewarding experience. I wish you all the best in your future endeavors. Lastly thank you for your unwavering support throughout the season, With all my love and appreciation.”
