Supersport United striker praised his team-mate
2 min readNewly signed Supersport United striker Nokutenda Mangezi has been compared to the former Manchester City legend Sergio Kuan Agero.
Supersport United striker Terrence Dzvukamanja was impressed by the performance of his fellow country man against Mamelodi Sundowns.
On the day Matsatsantsa a Petori were left wonded after being thrashed by their arch rivals Sundowns by a 2-0.
Mangezi is the first player from Zimbabwe to play his professional into South Africa after two years.
In an interview with FARPost, striker Dzvukamanja likened Mangezi’s qualities to that of the retired Argentine striker Agüero.
He said “He is good. It’s not always that you see someone of his age getting a first start on the first match of the season.
“He played against Sundowns on our first match by my side. For me that was a satisfying moment, I got to guide him as we sought goals.
“Unfortunately, it was not to be. We failed to score and eventually lost the match. However, as an individual player, he is exceptional and very confident.
“He is very clinical. From what I have seen, he has the qualities. He is like Sergio Agüero. He is fast and strong. All he needs is guidance so that he can reach his full potential.
“The critical thing for him is to get as much guidance as possible so that he does not get big-headed. There is still a lot of way to go in his development.”
Mangezi will be hoping to get few minutes when his side travel to Capetown to challenge Cape Town City over the weekend for Betway Premiership.
