The Saint-Lucian runner inspired by Jamaican Athlete

The Saint-Lucian athlete won her country’s first-ever Olympic medal after securing the top place in the women’s 100m.
She finished the race within a time frame of 10.72 seconds to beat out Sha’Carri Richardson, who finished at 10.87 seconds in the final.
During the Zurich Diamond League, she recorded time frame of 10.88 seconds while finishing behind Richardson, who runned for a 10.84 seconds.
After finishing on second spot at 2024 Zurich Diamond League, Alfred has now announced the runners who inspired her.
Speaking about her victory at Paralympic in Paris, Saint-Lucian athletes revealed that even though she has never meet 100m and 200m world record holder, then she highlighted that his worked encouraged her.
Alfred said “I’ve always wanted to be Usain Bolt, ever since I was little, He was more than my idol. It’s incredible what he has achieved in his career. Unfortunately, I have never met him. I also look up to Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce very much.”
Alfred received special praise from the fans after having a such great experience at Paralympic.
During the interview Saint-Lucian athletes shared that she had to work more extra hard to accomplish her dreams.
Alfred said “I’m going to go back home. I haven’t got a chance to celebrate with my country as yet, to see the youth of my country.
“I really just want to go back to Saint Lucia, celebrate with them, and mayb\e go for a vacation after that. I’m still deciding on where I want to go.”
Alfred’s next tough competition will be in the Brussels Diamond League set to start on September 13 and 14, 2024.
