Tottenham Spurs captian is impressed by new signing

Heung-Min Son is shocked by the performance produced by Brennan Johnson who was brilliant during Carabao Cup.

Brennan Johnson was one of the top performer when Spurs defeat Coventry in the Carabao Cup.

Currently Spurs are slowly regaining their momentum as they have managed to register back to back victory against Brentford last weekend and Coventry.

The captain was amongst the visitor’s at Tottenham Fan Forum, where they have been discussing the form of the team.

During the conference the South Korean international praised his team and rated him as one of the best players within the group.

Heung-Min Son said “Brennan has stepped up. He needed the love he needed to talk, he had unbelievable support from the staff and the team and he has stepped up in the last two weeks with two important goals.

“That’s what we need, it’s not just from the captains, it could be any one of us, friends, teammates, just talk it through and if he needs anything speak to me. Brennan is a fantastic kid and I was so happy to see him doing so well.”

Teen sensational didn’t received praises from the captain only, even Tottenham Spurs winger James Maddison recently praised him.

Maddison said “He works so hard for the team and made so many runs in behind to stretch Brentford.

“How many times did he come short and Pedro (Porro) clipped a ball for him to chase? It creates more space in the middle for me and (Dejan) Kulusevski.

“Unselfish stuff like that people don’t always see. So when he does score, and they can shout his name, I was just getting them going.

“That will mean a lot to him and his family here. That is back-to-back goals. He is a great kid and I love him so I was just trying to give him confidence.”

Brennan Johnson will be hoping to get game time later on today when Spurs will be battling Qarabag for UEFA European league (21:00).
