Two clubs from Saudi Arabia shows interest in West Ham star
2 min readSaudi Pro League clubs Al Nassr and Ittihad Jeddah have showed interest in West Ham and Ghanaian international forward Mohammed Kudus.
Apparently team-talk revealed that Al Nassr as well as Al-Ittihad are preparing a salary package that would be difficult for most players to refuse. The Ghanaian winger is offered a contract worth a staggering amount of £212,000 per week in the middle east.
Not so long ago The Harmers(West Ham) signed Kudus from Eredivisie side Ajax for £38 million last year and the player went on to have a great season with the Hammers and he scored eight goals and assisting six times out of 33 matches. He also added six goals in 14 games in the UEFA Europa League.
Even though the hammers will be keen to keep their prized star player, they might not be able to compete with the gigantic wages on offer. This does not mean that West Ham will give in easy. They are known to be tough negotiators as they forced Arsenal to pay £105 million for Declan Rice.
The Hammers will demand a significant transfer fee if they are forced to sell Kudus after the player’s hefty £85 million release clause recently expired. The expiry of the clause gives West Ham complete control, thus strengthening their hand significantly in any negotiations.
Al Hilal who swept the domestic titles last season will be facing up-hill ahead of the new season as their competitors are looking to bolster their squad and become more competitive for the up-coming campaign of 2024/2025 in Saudi Pro League.
Other teams that have bolstered their squad is Al-Ahli SFC who signed Al-Nakhli, Barqawi and Marcáo just to name few, Al-Ettifaq signed Vitinho from Al-Shabab, Al-Mousa just to name few and other clubs such as Al-Kholood club have strengthened their team ahead of 2024/24.
