“We are not saving anybody”-Riveiro
2 min readOrlando Pirates head coach Jose Riveiro provided injury update regarding his two trusted soldiers.
Orlando played against the stubborn Richards Bay without the service of Monnapule Saleng and Olisa Ndah.
Both players were last seen participating in the fixture against Polokwane City where Pirates walked away with full three points.
During the match the center back Olisa Ndah was subbed off on the 83rd minutes while Saleng was subbed after scoring the opening goal.
After the fixture against Richards Bay the Spanish tactician was asked if he was try to save the two players for their upcoming fixture against Stellenbosch FC in MTN8 final over the weekend.
Riveiro said “If you remember our last game against Polokwane City, both Olisa and Saleng were subbed because of two different injuries.
“That’s the reason they’re not here is because they couldn’t make it. They were not available for selection.
“And actually it’s not 100% sure that they are going to be there in the final as well. So, we’re not saving anybody because like I said before we’re taking every game like final.
“We are giving the same respect to respect to Richards Bay as the respect we are going to give Stellenbosch in the final.
“And that’s the way we want to do the things. So, there’s nothing like saving players, no not at all.”
Ndah was seen limping before he was subbed off while Monnapule Saleng had accident with players strengthening coach Galechi.
