21-YEAR-OLD BOY STRUCKED BY LIGHTNING IN SESHEGO

The Limpopo Department of Social Development has dispatched a team of social workers to Seshego outside Polokwane for them to provide psychological support to the family of a 21-year old man who was killed by lightning on Tuesday, 01 March 2022.
Police say Lesiba Ramabulana who was walking with his friend at the park in Zone 1 were struck by lightning. They were both rushed to hospital and Ramabulana was certified dead on arrival.
MEC Nkakareng Rakgoale says after learning about this tragic incident, they immediately activated a team of social workers who will reach out to the family and start providing psychosocial support services. We know that the family is obviously going through a lot, as they lost a young man who is said to be a promising soccer star.
She furthermore says their social workers will also extend the same service to the survivor and other affected parties.
