The Seshego Polokwane Taxi Association (SPTA) has warned its commuters that should they utilise a taxi that is not of their association also operating illegally in Polokwane, that specific taxi should drop them off at it’s geographical location.

This comes after certain taxi operators not registered with the SPTA are transporting commenters illegally from Polokwane Central Business District to Seshego and the surrounding communities.

Speaking on HeitaFM, The Ultimate Talk, SPTA Chairperson, Takalani United Nemaungani says customers from Seshego Zone 1,2,3,4,5, Extension 133,106, Lethuli Park,Emdo Park and Mahlasedi are adviced to kindly use the taxi ranks namely Polokwane Taxi Rank, City Centre, Indian Centre and Library Gardens in the city and stop using taxis operating at Market and Thabo Mbeki Streets.

Nemaungani says they will engage with the Department of Transport and Community Safety and the Polokwane Municipality in ensuring stricter measures are put in place to strengthen the laws protecting their smooth run of business operation between the association and it’s customers.
