Simba FC were up against Yanga Africans for Community Shield Cup Semi Finals yesterday at Benjamin Mkapa National Stadium (Dar es Salaam).

The match was at high intensive and eye catching as both side tried to exchange blows and claims the bragging rights.

As the match approaches the first half the home-side managed to break the deadlock through Mpia Nzengeli on the 44th minute.

After their painful defeat the former Orlando Pirates coach Fadlu Davids highlighted that his players give it their all.

Davids said “Fantastic [performance]. Of course, we can’t maintain our playing style. That’s clear after four weeks and I don’t expect them to.

“A lapse of concentration in the last three minutes before halftime, that was crucial in the game.

“But a clear penalty, it has to be given if you watch the replay. It’s clear clear as daylight. There was talk of VAR, I hope it comes soon into the league this season.”
