Angolian star introduced himself to Pirates fans with a style

Orlando Pirates new signing from Angola Gilberto didn’t wait too long to grab his first goal for his new team.

Orlando Pirates are currently playing their Pre-season in Spain where the coach got the opportunity to assess his newly signed players.

It was not for the first time when Ezimnyama Ngenkani Ezagebhula Umhlaba Kamasipala take trip to Spain. In a previous season Pirates took a trip to Spain where they played with Maccabi Tel-Aviv from Israel, Las Palmas from Spain and Independiente Del Valle from Ecuador. Pirates collected two wins and one draw from the three teams they face in a Previous campaign.

Their first game was against the new-bees La Liga participating Las Palmas where they played to 0-0 score line at Banus Football Centre in Marebella on Wednesday. Second game they faced Israel side Maccabi Tel Aviv on Thursday where they won the game by 1-0 and their last game they defeated Independiente Del Valle by 3-1 on Saturday.

This season they are playing four games as their preparation for 2024/2025 season and they are challenging teams such as England side Plymouth Argyle, Spain giant Sevilla, Spain giants Granada and Qatar League champions Al Sadd.

So far pirates have played three of the four matches in their pre-season tour and they are yet to taste defeat in their pre-season. They have managed to register two draws and one victory up to so far as they will be concluding their tour tomorrow(Friday) on 19 July against Qatar Stars.

Their first game they faced Wayne Rooney’s side Plymouth Argyle where they played a 2-2 draw while their second game they played up against Sevilla where they won by 2-0 on Monday Night at Estadio Jesus Navas.

On their third game UP THE BUCS, they challenged Spanish giants in the form of Granada at Malaga where they registered their second draw of 1-1. On the day, pirates’s new man from Angola star Miguel Delvi Vieira known as Gilberto scored the first goal to give pirates lead before Granada Equalize three minutes later by Shon Weismann.
