Britain Tennis player announces that Paris Olympics will be his final tournament

Andy Murray says Paris Olympics will be his final tournament.

Murray who won the Olympics singles champions on two occasion announced on his X page formerly known as Twitter on Tuesday 23 July 2024 that the tennis competition at the Paris games will be the final event of his career.

Murray said ”Arrived in Paris for my last ever tennis tournament @Olympics, Competing for Britain has been by far the most memorable weeks of my career and I’m extremely proud to get a chance to do it one more time.”

It is not the first time Andy Murray announces his retirement in the Tennis industry, as he was forced to announce his retirement back in 2019 at the Australian Open. Back then Murray was extremely emotional as the decision was taken out of his hands.

He sustained a bad hip that prevented him from even tying his shoes without pain, the Britain was in tears as he announced that he had no choice, he hoped to retire at Wimbledon the same year but stated that it might be earlier than expected.
