As the game was bit frustrating for the home side, the new signing Savinho was player who didn’t impress quite well in the first half.

Pep Guardiola has explained why the Brazilan sensational teen didn’t make into the second half of the game.

For his place the Spanish tactician decided to introduce Phil Foden and other player who sustained injury is their captain Kevin De Bruyne.

Guardiola said “Players in the small spaces had the ability to turn, to control, turn and attack the back five. So that was the target, so Phil, Gundo and Rico they move really really well in the small spaces.

“When the team defends so so deep, they punish us in the transitions but we don’t have legs to compete against them. These three players are really good moving in small spaces. They try to get the ball, turn, attack, shoot, assist. That’s the reason why.”

Pep Guardiola together with his troops will now have to prepare for the next fixture against Arsenal on Sunday 22nd September at Atihad Stadium for EPL.
