MANHUNT FOR GANG RAPE IN GA-MATHABATHA LIMPOPO.

Five women were gang raped and seven men viciously assaulted at a well known funeral parlour at Ga-Mathabatha in Capricorn District on the 4th September 2022, fleeing with an undisclosed amount of money and cell phones.

It is alleged that six armed men stormed into the funeral parlour along the R37 road early on Sunday morning and assaulted the employees. One employee was shot and injured and the other men assaulted, before all the assailants raped the female employees and two female visitors. Investigations are in proceedings.

MEC for Social Development Dr. Namane Dickson Masemola, has reacted with shock and concern. He condemned the occurrence which he described it as nightmarish for the victims and for all peace loving citizens of the province. He urges police to leave no stone unturned until the perpetrators are brought to book.

Furthermore, Dr. Masemola and Department of Social Development Communications, have already dispatched social workers to the area and they have started with counselling.
