SUSPECTS APPREHANDED FOR POSSESSION OF UNLICENSED FIREARMS AND AMMUNITION.

Railway Police apprehended three suspects between the ages of 20 to 28 for possession of unlicensed firearms and ammunition at Wanderers Taxi Rank corner Noord and Wanderers Street on Sunday, 10 July 2022 at 11:00.
Captain Xoli Mbele says the police were busy with their foot patrols when they saw three suspicious males changing direction when seeing them. They cornered them, searched them, and recovered three unlicensed firearms and ammunition, the suspects failed to produce licenses to possess firearms. Firearms are subjected to ballistic testing to determine if they were used in the commission of other serious and violent crimes.
Investigation is underway and suspects will be appearing in the Johannesburg Magistrate Court on 12 July 2022.
