TWO SUSPECTS APPEARED AT THE PROTEA MAGISTRATE’S COURT FOR KGOMOTSO DIALE’s MURDER.
1 min readThe two men linked to the killing of Kgomotso Diale made their first court appearance at the Protea magistrate’s court in Soweto on Monday,25 April 2022.
Tebogo Molapo (29) and Mokhabi Ngoanapudi (33) are accused of shooting dead Diale, a father of two at the Chicken farm informal settlement on Monday,18 April 2022. Diale was shot when some residents of Pimville went to chicken farm to seek leads after their area was plunged into darkness as a result of suspected cable theft.
Allegations are that three males alighted from a vehicle, armed with rifles and started shooting at the Pimville residents. The South African Police Service acted on information about the whereabouts of suspects that were allegedly involved in the chicken farm shooting. Upon arrival one suspect died and two were placed under arrest with police seizing two fire arms and ammunition.
According to National Prosecuting Authority Spokesperson Phindi Mjonondwana, the two are charged with two counts of murder, six counts of attempted murder and two counts of possessing unlicensed firearms and ammunition. The second murder charge stems from the death of their own.
The duo was remanded in custody until 04 May 2022 for legal representation.
