ZIMBABWEAN NATIONAL CONVICTED TO LIFE SENTENCE FOR RAPE

A 30-year-old male Zimbabwean national, Mduduzi Masuku, who was found with an ineligible firearm, has been found guilty of rape and convicted to life sentence by the Booysens Magistrate Court On 20 July 2022.
Captain Xoli Mbele says, on the 13 June 2020, Mduduzi allegedly sexually assaulted a 11-year-old girl in the veld near Jackson Squatter Camp (Eikenhof), while the mother of the victim utilized his wheelbarrow to collect wood in the veld with the accused.
In later sending the child to return the wheelbarrow to him, Mduduzi took advantage of the victim and sexually assaulted her and threatened to murder her if she speaks about the incident.
On the 21 June 2020, the victim finally informed her mother, who then called the Mondeor SAPS, who immediately apprehended the suspect.
