Dana White confirms that Former two-division titleholder won’t fight this year

On Tuesday UFC president Dana White revealed a bad news regarding Conor McGregor where he announced that the boxer won’t participate this year.

It was expected that Former two-division titleholder Conor McGregor could make a return but the rumors were put under the bed as it is confirmed that he won’t make his anticipated return to the Octagon for at least four more months.

McGregor who hold 22 knock-out and 6 best punch has being absent in ring for more than three years and was supposed to fight lightweight champion Michael Chandler at UFC 303 earlier this summer but McGregor sustained a broken toe a few weeks before the date.

White said “We talked. We talked. We didn’t meet up but we talked, and yeah, (McGregor) wants to fight. So we’ll figure it out. (But) not this year, He won’t fight this year.”

They are some suggestion that McGregor would re-enter the Octagon this year and he will face Chandler (23-8), the positive about the fight is that two boxers will face each other at UFC 310 in Las Vegas in mid-December.

The chances for the two boxer it seems like it won’t happen due to the video that is trending on the social media platforms where McGregor seen partying in different venues.

McGregor was the first UFC fighter to win two titles simultaneously, when he won the belt of featherweight and lightweight crowns and he lost his titles in July 2021 to Dustin Poirier after he suffered a broken leg and has not fought since.
