England Legendary pacer reveals the best batter he has ever faced

England’s legendary pacer James Anderson picked up the greatest batter he ever faced in his international career, Anderson will play his farewell Test match against the West Indies at Lord’s.

James Anderson is set to be stepping-down from international cricket as England prepares for his farewell match in the inaugural test match of the three-game series where they will be playing against West Indies.

The 41 year-old pacer will bid adieu to the game being the second-most capped player in test. Anderson will be marking his 188th test appearance at Lord’s in London on 10th July 2024. He will be celebrating his 21 years of test matches as a player, where he managed to hit the wicket on 700 occasion so far.

Anderson revealed the best batter he faced during the Q&A session on Sky Sports Cricket ahead of the start of his final test.

Anderson said ” The best batter I would have to say is Sachin Tendulkar.”

Rivalry in Test Cricket between the Iconic

Anderson has played in 39 Test against India and picked up 149 wickets. Tendulkar faced Anderson between 2006 to 2012 in Test matches with Anderson managed to eliminate him(Tendulkar) on 9 occasion.

Out of these encounters Tendulkar scored a total number of 208 runs against Anderson showcasing his experience and skills. He batt 350 balls where his rate of strike was on 59.4. Despite being eliminated on 9 occasion, Tendulkar managed to score/hit 34 fours without a single sixes.
