Former Nigeria captain shares his view regarding swap deal between Sancho and Sterling

The former Chelsea and Nigeria midfielder John Obi Mikel stood firm and bold with Chelsea’s potential swap deal involving Manchester United forward Jadon Sancho.

Chelsea are currently trying to finalize a deal of Manchester United goal score Jadon Sancho with a swap deal with Raheem Sterling.

Sancho is linked with a possible move from Old Trafford despite fixing issue with his manager, Erik Ten Hag. Chelsea and Juventus have both showed interest on the former Borussia Dortmund star.

The former Chelsea and Super Eagles captain, believes the signing of Sancho would provide options on the team’s attacking and strengthen the squad at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea are planning to do swap deal for Sancho with ex-Liverpool forward Raheem Sterling, while Juventus are hope to get player on loan deal from Manchester United.

Obi said “If we can get him through the door at Chelsea, I’d be very, very happy. He’s a fantastic player. I think on that side of the pitch, we’re very strong. But listen, if we can get a player like Jadon, of course, you’d be happy to have him. If that happens, I’d be very happy.”

Rumors indicate that Sancho’s representatives and Juventus have reached an agreement and English international could be heading to Serie A on loan before the summer transfer window closes.
