Manchester City midfielder attract interest in England

Premier League sides such as Everton and Ipswich Town has been monitoring the 28 year old Kalvin Phillips as Man City plans to loan misfit midfielder. The three clubs from Premier League sides are have hopes to get the services of Manchester City midfielder on a long loan season.

When City signed Phillips from Leeds United two years ago, they spent a total amount of £42million but the player struggled to establish himself into Pep Guardiola’s style of play at the Etihad Stadium.

The England international spent a season on loan at West Ham United and had a poor campaign that lead to him to miss an opportunity to play at the European24 Championship.

Phillips was part of City’s pre-season tour to the United States this summer and he played two games as a central defender, but he was not part of the squad that played during Saturday’s Community Shield where they defeated Manchester United and after match Guardiola revealed that ‘Kalvin knows the situation’ as to his place among the squad.

He still have a long way to command his position at City as he will be competing with the likes of Rodrigo. He still has four years left on his contract.
