ASANTE KOTOKO TO BRING WEALTH OF EXPERIENCE IN GHANA’S PREMIER LEAGUE.

After finishing on the 6th spot in the previous season 2023/2024, the Porcupine Warriors are back on the market to strengthen their squad ahead of the new season 2024/2025 and are hoping to challenge for the domestically trophies and reclaim their dignity among the power house in Ghana.

The seasoned defender Kwadwo Amoako is a free agent after his contract come to an end at Medeama SC after signing the three year contract with Mauve and Yellows back in 2022. Amoako joined the club on a free transfer and now it appears that he might return to Kumasi.

He is expected to join the team’s pre-season preparations shortly under the guidance of coach Prosper Ogum, as they regroup following a challenging previous season. Amoako brings a wealth of experience in the Ghana Premier League, having previously featured for Ashanti Gold and Medeam SC.

Kwadwo can play two positions in the team as Right-Back and Defensive-Midfield and worth 50k Euro, contributed to Medeam SC campaign in the CAF Champions League last season, helping the Tarkwa-based club advance to the competition’s group stage.

Meanwhile, Asante Kotoko are preparing for their fixture for the Democracy Cup against Hearts of Oak which was supposed to take place on 5 July 2024 has been postponed to the 17th July 2024 and the match will be held at the Accra Sports Stadium in Ghana.
