Cape Town City owner, John Comitis thinks that PSL title could attract sponsors if it were to be won by Orlando Pirates or Kaizer Chiefs instead of Mamelodi Sundowns.

Bafana ba Style have turned the PSL into the farmers league by winning the title seven times, while Pirates managed to finish on second spot for the past two season.

Last season the Glamour boys enjoyed their worst campaign since the PSL took over from NSL where they finished outside top8 on 10th spot.

John Comitis on his speech he revealed that two well established teams across Africa they should start winning the PSL title as that will do good for the business.

Comitis said “The PSL platform exposes a brand to a multimillion fanbase and corporates are not capitalising on this. It’s important that Chiefs or Pirates win the league(PSL) soon because that is good for business.”

He went on to emphasize that these two teams have great significant impact in the South Africa football because they have more crowd than the 14 other teams.

Comitis said “To me, and I know I’m speaking against myself, but when Chiefs and Pirates isn’t up there, we [City] can feel the down, as a team that is not Chiefs or Pirates.

“When Chiefs and Pirates are winning, the stadiums are full and it’s a snowball effect.”

PSL Betway Premiership will kicks start next month and it will require a lot of hard work from both soweto giants to dethrone Mamelodi Sundowns.
