Ex Mamelodi Sundowns winger says Up the Bucs have acquired a rare talent

2 min read

Lucas Sebona who played for Sundowns and Swallows during his playing time has hope that Orlando Pirates have signed the best player.

Sebona compared the playing style of Spanish and Barcelona young star Lamine Yamal who help his nation to clinch the Euro 2024 title with the style of play that is used by a newly Orlando Pirates player Dimpho Madalane.

The newly signed wing-back player Madalane is the one who is on the mind of Sebona, regarding him as the next big thing in the industry of football. He believes that the young star will soon start shining for his club as well as the national side(Bafana Bafana).

The Happy People signed a player from Mpumalanga regional Madubaduba, a club that plays at a fourth tier side and he has managed to travel with the Happy People to Spain for their pre-season camp where he also got some time on the pitch when the team played against Sevilla.

Sebona said ”Khalabemgeza (Dimpho Madalane) has a very special talent which is very rare in football. What he’s got is natural talent, it can’t be taught anywhere, Once he gets used to his new teammates and regains his confidence, people can expect fireworks. When it comes to talent, he is in the same category as the likes of Lamine Yamal from Spain.

”This boy will be on fire once he settles at the club and gets used to his new teammates at the moment his confidence is still low but that’s natural. But age is still on his side. Against Sevilla it was his first match for Pirates, so he didn’t want to keep the ball on his feet.”

Pirates rewarded the Dimpho Madalane with a Five-year long-term contract together with other two new players who recently joined the Buccaneers Mohau Nkota and Siyabonga Dladla. At the End of previous season, Pirates rewarded Relebogile Mofokeng a contract of Five-years as well.

Dimpho Madalane was not the only new face at the Buccaneers camp in their trip to Spain, he was joined by the other new players such as Miguel Deive Vieira ‘Gilberto’ who scored his first goal for his new club, Selaelo Rasebotja, Thuso Moleleki, Mohau Nkota, SIyabonga Dladla and Bayanda Zulu.
