Ex-Mamelodi Sundowns product Cassius Mailula is set to join North African giants Rulani Mokoena’s side on loan from Major League Soccer (MLS) side Toronto FC.

According to South African media publication Soccerladuma, two sides Wydad and Toronto FC have reached agreement for the 23-year-old to join the Moroccan giants on loan for the 2024/25 season as he aims to retain his place in the South African national team.

The move will saw Molepo’s finest Mailula to reform the bond between him and former Sundowns coach Rulani ‘Mlungisi’ Mokoena who played a huge role to convince player to come on board.

Mailula failed to cement his place at Toronto FC under coach John Herdman who suggested that the former Sundowns star has to wait for his opportunity as he compete with the best players on his position.

After failing to secure starting birth at Toronto FC the Molepo born star was also dropped from the national team by Hugo Broos who blamed his(Mailula) move to U.S.A.

With this move Mailula will be hoping that Bafana Bafana coach will change his mind and hand him opportunity to don Green and Gold Jersy.
