Former Hearts of Oak midfielder confirms that he turned down offer from Asante Kotoko

The former Hearts of Oak midfielder, Glid Otanga has stated that, he has rejected a move to Asante Kotoko.

Otanga has joined Qatari side Al Kharaitiyat after parting ways with the Phobian Club and the exciting midfielder announced that he was approached by the Porcupine Warriors but he was not willing to accept their offer but he told them that he is not interested to move away from Hearts of Oak and he shared the love he has for the club and that they(Hearts of Oak) will always have special place in his heart.

Otanga said “I was approached by Asante Kotoko but I told them, am not interested in moving from Hearts of Oak, I have a special place in my heart for Hearts of Oak, I really love the club and there is no way I will sign for their rivals.”

The 23-year-old accumulated a total number of 53 games for Hearts of Oak, during his two season stay and he managed score just two goals for the club. The Congolese midfielder maestro made 26 appearances last season, having had more starts and provided an assist as a defensive midfielder.
